The rate card

Every price,
on the website.

Hiding prices until you have handed over your phone number wastes your time and mine. Here is the whole thing. Add up the rows that apply to you and you have your number — or let the estimator do the arithmetic.

All amounts in rands, excluding VAT. Prices apply to work quoted in 2026.

01

The build

Pick one. This is the foundation and everything else is added to it. A page means a separate destination with its own web address, not a section you scroll past.

  • One-page site

A single scrolling page: what you do, why you, and how to reach you. Ideal for one clear offer.

    R5,500

  • Small site — 4 to 5 pages

Home, About, Services, Contact and one more. The size most small businesses actually need.

    R9,500

  • Standard site — 6 to 12 pages

Separate pages per service, team, case studies, a news or blog section.

    R16,500

  • Large site — 12+ pages

Bigger structure, custom sections, member or client area, more moving parts.

    R26,000

02

Selling online

The single biggest thing that moves a price. Taking money brings in security, tax, stock and delivery, none of which a brochure site has to think about.

  • No — the site is there to get enquiries

People find you, understand you, and contact you.

    No charge

  • A small catalogue

Up to about 20 products or services, with an enquiry or a pay-by-link checkout. No stock tracking.

    R7,500

  • A proper online shop

Cart, secure checkout (Payfast, Yoco or Stripe), stock levels, order confirmations and delivery options.

    R14,000

03

Connecting to other systems

The first connection costs R4,500 because it carries the authentication and error handling. Every connection after that is R3,500, because that groundwork is already done.

  • XeroSage / PastelQuickBooksSharePoint / Microsoft 365Monday.comHubSpot / Zoho / other CRMMailchimp / email marketingGoogle Sheets or DriveWhatsApp BusinessOnline booking or calendarInventory or point-of-saleSomething else

Not listed? Ask. If it has a documented way in, it can almost always be connected at one of these two prices.

04

Design and brand

What you already have decides this one. If a designer has given you brand guidelines, I follow them and it costs nothing extra.

  • I have a logo and brand guidelines

Colours, fonts and rules already exist. I build to them.

    No charge

  • I have a logo, nothing else

I design a colour palette, type scale and full component set around your existing logo.

    R3,500

  • I need the lot designed

Logo, colour palette, typography and a one-page brand sheet you can use everywhere else too.

    R8,500

05

The words

Writing is what stalls most website projects, not design. Be honest with yourself about whether you will sit down and write six pages.

  • I will send you the text

You supply the words for each page. I lay them out and tidy the grammar.

    No charge

  • Please write it for me

I interview you, then write the words for up to six pages. You approve every line before it goes live.

    R3,000

  • A second language

The whole site in a second language, with a switcher.

    R4,500

06

Domain and moving in

Boring, unavoidable, and the usual reason a launch date slips. Priced separately so you can see exactly what the delay costs.

  • I own it and I can change its settings

Nothing to do — I hand you two records to paste in, or you give me access for ten minutes.

    No charge

  • I own it but someone else controls it

I chase the third party, explain what is needed and verify it went live correctly. This is usually the slowest part of any project.

    R1,500

  • I do not have a domain yet

I check what is available, register it in your name and cover the first year.

    R950

  • Move content from the old site

Pages, text and images carried across and cleaned up, so nothing is lost and your Google ranking survives the move.

    R2,500

07

Reach

Staying inside South Africa keeps everything simple. Crossing the border brings currencies, delivery zones, foreign tax and time zones.

  • South Africa only

    Rands, local delivery, local tax.

    No charge

  • South Africa and abroad

More than one currency, international delivery zones, foreign tax rules and time zones.

    R3,500

Afterwards

Hosting for the first year is included. After that it is either free on my account or roughly R0–R250 a month on your own, depending on traffic. I will show you the numbers before you commit.

Care plan (optional)

R450/month

Hosting, security updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and up to 30 minutes of small tweaks a month. Cancel any time — you keep the site either way.

  • Never bundled into the build price
  • Cancel whenever — the site keeps working
  • You keep the domain, the code and every login either way

Two things that change the total

Priority build

+20%

You go to the front of the queue and other work moves aside. Only worth it if a real date depends on it.

The accuracy promise

±20%

Your estimate is not a quote. But after our 45-minute call I give you a fixed quote, and it will land inside that band. If the work turns out bigger than I judged, that is mine to absorb.

Payment is half to start and half on the day it goes live. No deposit is taken before you have seen a fixed quote in writing.

Add it up yourself, or let me do it

The estimator uses exactly these numbers — nothing hidden, nothing added at the end. Two minutes and the PDF is in your inbox.
